In January of 2002, Dr. Cattafesta accepted ownership of the over 20 year old dental practice of George E. Chapman, Jr., D.D.S. and Richard J. Mohr D.D. S., located in the Fox Mill Center Professional Building just 1 mile from the Reston Town Center. The entire loyal staff has continued working with the practice and many staff members have been working there for over 10 years.

This creates a very warm friendly family environment in which everyone greets you by name when you walk in the door, and as a patient you get a sense that you really matter. All of Dr. Cattafesta’s patients are treated as individuals and do not feel like just a number in a large sea of patients.

Michael Cattafesta, D.D.S. is a long time resident of the Washington, D.C. area. He grew up in Rockville, Maryland and attended the University of Virginia. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 1989 and served as a Navy Dentist for seven years before returning to this area to build a private practice. Dr. Cattafesta is well-trained in all areas of general dentistry including tooth colored fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, extractions, and cosmetic procedures.

Patients appreciate his thorough explanations of their treatment and the gentle manner in which it is delivered. Dr. Cattafesta, his wife Beth, son Gregory, and their miniature pinscher Jackie live in Northern Virginia. He enjoys tennis, softball and traveling.

Dr. Rizvi joined the practice about 3 years ago. He graduated from the prestigious Guy's Hospital in England and went on to various hospital based posts in dentistry.  He has experience in all aspects of dentistry from treating kids to elderly patients with medical complications.  At the University of Maryland, he gained 2 years of advanced training in general dentistry.  He has completed an extensive 1 year course in implantology. Apart from his extensive experience, what most distinguishes Dr. Rizvi is the great pride he takes in his work and the thorough enjoyment he gains in the process.  He has completed many extensive and complex cases in this office. His empathetic bed-side manner and over 10 years of postgraduate experience are apparent from the moment you meet him. He prides himself on providing complete care to his patients focusing on the causes of their dental problems. A keen aesthetic eye ensures the creation of beautiful smiles.  He is conscientious and hard working and we have many patients' testimonials to validate this.
